Other
OEd 11 is a uniquely demanding course with additional time commitments, and therefore students must be prepared to take responsibility for the management of their academics. In support of this, we make an effort to schedule trips evenly throughout the year and offer after-trip work blocks to provide some 'catch up' time. It remains, however, the students' responsibility to manage their time and work appropriately. It is important to note that full participation in OEd 11 may require tough decisions to be made about how many or which extra-curriculars a student is able to participate in. For example, the school does not allow students to participate in both an Exchange and OEd 11 in the same year.
Due to the nature and demands of this course, we will look to support interested students in the following ways: - we will collect a short questionnaire from students electing to take OEd11 aimed to further get to know them and how we can best support them - conducting individual conversations with students' to better understand any supports that may be needed - asking teachers for information as to how to best support students' electing to take OE11 academically, physically, and emotionally - student services will review the students' graduation requirement checklist
